Pinterest Win, Lose or Fail!

I love Pinterest! It's a fun place to file away ideas for the ethereal future day and time when I will be able to sew, cook, craft, travel and decorate my dream home. It's also a good place to find a laugh, a new recipe or ideas. I use it all the time. I'm normally a very organized person, and Pinterest allows my organized side to feel virtually satisfied.

This is a new feature. Each week, I will try a different pinned item and share the results here on Curious Soup. If you have a pin suggestion, email it to me at curioussoup@gmail.com.

I will put links to my blog entries featuring Pinterest items I have tried. I'm calling it Pinterest Win, Lose or Fail! This is what I mean by that (as if you didn't know):
  • WIN = Pin works as advertised (yay!!). Much cheering and happy dancing will ensue.
  • LOSE = Pin works but isn't worth the trouble or expense, or wasn't as good as advertised. Shoulders shrug and we move on.
    • FAIL = Pin is a complete disaster, even considering my personal experience and abilities. Which vary greatly... There may be tears, and perhaps even some level 2 cussing (gasp!).

Speaking of which... My abilities:
  • I used to sew a lot, so I consider myself a slightly better-than-average sewer. But that was 20 years ago, so... maybe I've slid back to less-than-average. We shall see.
  •  I am terrified of crafts. Some craft projects have been known to reduce me to tears and (brace yourself) cussing. I will try to take photos as we journey together.
  • I am a good cook and a better baker, having loads of experience preparing food for my family. I have filled the house with smoke, dumped baking soda on the stovetop (if you don't know why, you must not cook) and tossed many attempts. My failures notwithstanding, I am usually fairly successful in the kitchen.
